Lately

Theres a good chance we just might make it after all.
It's been touch and go around here for the past four weeks and it has brought me to my knees in a hyperventilating state.  I'm not sure what to expect but i'm excited for what is to come.  Big decisions and changes have been made.

We bought a piece of land.  We sold our home, the only home our babies have known.  We moved out of our neighborhood where we have loved, lived and laughed for the past eleven years.  We have moved all five of us into a 900 sq foot river cabin.  The girls will be going to a new school and the baby will be starting Kindergarten.  Summer 2014 is just around the corner.  We are all healthy, we are all happy and there is a lot more to come.  Join me on Instagram.

My Woman Crush Wednesday…HANNA MAC

Without a doubt, I have the most creative friends.  I am drawn to genuine, real, raw, authentic women.  I meet, pass by, wave hello to women everyday but the women in my life that I call friends, are non- judgmental people and have a spirit within them that burns bright.  That bright light is what attracted me to them in the first place.  Some of my friends are artists, some are business women, some have faith like a rock, some are mothers, some are entrepreneurs and one of them is a photographer.  Her name is Johanna McShan but she is known as HANNA MAC.  We are both Aries (birthdays only a day apart) and when we met, we became instant friends. She is a fantastic mother with another on the way! She is funny and she can be REAL.  She inspires me daily.
One of my goals for 2014 is to really learn the art of photography.  Johanna is helping me with all of my questions ranging from camera management, to lens technicality, to Lightroom/Photoshop instruction.  She is like a breath of fresh air feeding my creative soul when I am with her.  Learning from her is pure joy and I am so thankful.  She has such a vast knowledge about photography.
We had a good time the other day playing with her precious baby girl and tiny baby bump!

LICK- Honest Ice Creams

I am so excited to share all about LICK-Honest Ice Creams today.  It has become our new favorite find!  Healthy deliciousness abounds at this creative ice cream shoppe.  Serving up flavors like Dark Chocolate with Olive Oil & Sea Salt, Caramel Salt Lick, Hill Country Honey & Vanilla Bean and my little one's personal favorite Roasted Beets & Fresh Mint.  So you might wonder, does she know that is the name of her ice cream?  Absolutely not my friends!  All she knows is that it is "way better" than any other sherbet she has ever had.  She is correct!  This ice cream is the best ice cream I have ever had.  LICK offers pure, whole ingredients and uses only local farmers around ATX.  I believe in their philosophy and you will enjoy their tasty ice cream, I promise!  LICK is the place to go after a date night, during the hot summer days or just for a sweet treat with the kids.

Grab your sweet tooth and go now!

Today, I have a heavy heart.

Lately my heart has been so heavy for others.  I have been praying and praying.  I have been asking God to give peace to all of those in great need.  I can't even fathom how these women, husbands, mothers are dealing with their heavy load that life has handed them?  Why?

When I hear about other people's struggles and their stories of loss, it begins to slow down time for me.  As it should for all of us.  I start to see the world differently, the shades of blue in the sky, the simple way the sun makes the green grass seem so warm, the crisp air, the jet black nights, all become so precious.  The little things become precious.  The small moments become important.

This picture was a small moment for me.  I love just being with my children.  Of course one child did not want to take a picture but that is okay, she was having fun helping her daddy.  It was a small moment for our family.

I am blessed.

If you can, will you please pray for these families that are always on my mind and heavy on my heart.
